5 Ways to Chill Out

Just like most people are this time a year, I have been incredibly stressed out the last couple weeks and especially this last week. So I have composed a list of ways to chill out and relax.
  1. Take a Second to Think- what are you frustrated about? Take a deep breath and think, how can I change this? Maybe it's a work related problem, vent to a friend. Maybe it's a friend problem, is it worth being frustrated about? If yes maybe it's time to re-evaluate the friendship. Maybe it's a relationship problem, once again, is it worth being upset about? Maybe your problem requires a pro con list or just a good day of vegging out. There is always a solution.
  2. Work Out- turn that anger and frustration into something that will benefit you. You feel as though you just vented out all your frustrations to a good friend plus feel exhilarated afterward. Your body will also thank you for the wake up and you may even feel motivated to continue exercising as a daily therapy. In my opinion the harder your workout, the better you will feel later.
  3. Watch your Favorite Movie- watching your favorite movie will remind you of the good. The good times spent watching the movie and the good people who may have watched the movie with you. Along with watching the film, you should pig out. Comfort food is called comfort food for a reason. So grab some ice cream or candy or even both and press play.
  4. Do Something!- do something you love to do but haven't been able to do for awhile. Maybe do something that you have always wanted to do. Just get up and do something, it will feel amazing to do something you have been missing or to get the thrill from something new. If your on edge with people even go do something by yourself. Then you can brag about it later. Now your asking what do I do? Maybe you like to browse the mall, head to the mall! Maybe you really like music, check out a local show! Perhaps you have always wanted to skydive, well hop to it! There is plenty to do that will keep your mind off the stress.
  5. Ignore your Cellphone- this is even hard for me. However, most likely your frustrations are coming from certain people acting certain ways and anybody else who interacts with you while your stressed is not going to help. If you just leave the cellphone alone for even just a half hour, maybe to do one of the other things I've mentioned, you will feel better and not bite off the head of the next person to contact you.
